The Revelatory Phase
“...the Revelatory Phase, we are told, will emerge, world-wide, through the medium of the radio, after 1975. That is because the Masters and the Christ will soon be in the world, and the Revelations will take place through the medium of the radio (and television).” (Benjamin Creme (1979), The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, p.199-200.)
As the most pertinent source of up-to-date information about the emergence of Maitreya and His first group of Masters, and because of his elucidation of much of the Ageless Wisdom teaching given since 1875, Benjamin Creme’s work may well be considered as, if not the first stage, then certainly the prelude to the revelatory phase.
“In speaking about the re-emergence of the Hierarchy, one is speaking about an event which is scheduled to take place over some thirty years. It is not a sudden event, nor does it take place without due preparation being made.” (Ibid, p.30)
In His messages and initial teachings, Maitreya has stated repeatedly that He has not come to found a new religion or to create followers, but to teach mankind “the art of Self-Realization”. The first steps in this direction, He says, are “honesty of mind, sincerity of spirit and detachment” (see Benjamin Creme (ed.; 2005), Maitreya’s Teachings – The Laws of Life).
