According to the Master D.K., in Initiation, Humand and Solar (p.59), this book was given by the Master Hilarion, Who was the apostle Paul (Saul of Tarsus) in Palestine: "He [Hilarion] it was who gave out to the world that occult treatise Light on the Path, and his work is particularly interesting to the general public at this crisis, for he works with those who are developing the intuition, and controls and transmutes the great movements that tend to strip the veil from the unseen. His is the energy which, through his disciples, is stimulating the Psychical Research groups everywhere, and he it was who initiated, through various pupils of his, the Spiritualistic movement."
The Master Hilarion also helped H.P. Blavatsky to write her stories, and gave the teachings in Martinus' Third Testament.
This edition includes an essay on karma.
