Notes

Although Leadbeater was a 2.4 degree initiate, this book is not always accurate on all accounts, according to Benjamin Creme (1986), Maitreya's Mission Vol.I, p.302 or (1993), Maitreya's Mission Vol.II, p.550.
This book is also of interest because of the b/w reproduction in pencil (opp. p.17) of a colour sketch on China silk which the Master DK made of Shigatse valley, where some of the Masters live, showing the Master Morya riding a horse in the valley and DK wading in the river. The original sketch, which DK precipitated at HPB's request, is at the Adyar Headquarters.
This book also includes a foldout colour plate of the events during the Wesak Festival in Wesak Valley.

This edition is an abridged edition of the 1969 abridged edition.

Referenced in Benjamin Creme (1996), The Ageless Wisdom Teaching, p.61.
